The Gurkha Welfare Trust "Go Live" in Nepal
Following the successful implementation of the PS Financials Community Edition accounting package for the Ghurkha Welfare Trust in the UK, West Tree Solutions has now completed staff training and software implementation in Pokera, Nepal.
As well as providing UK and local accounting functions in Nepal, the solutions will also allow GWT to quickly produce consolidated accounts across all regional offices in Nepal and incorporating the UK accounts as well.
The Gurkha Welfare Trust was established in England in 1969. Its remit is to provide financial, medical and community aid to alleviate hardship and distress among Gurkha ex-servcemen of the British Crown and their dependants after they have returned to their homeland of Nepal.
The Trust operates 21 welfare centres throughout Nepal and one in India. These are manned by retired Gurkhas who investigate cases of hardship and distress and recommend appropriate aid.
West Tree Solutions have extensive experience of installing accounting software and training finance staff around the globe both for the charity and non charity sector.
Our consultants have worked on projects in Africa, Asia, USA, Canada, Middle East, Australia, Hong Kong, Continental Europe and the UK.
